Mutual Noise


Mutual Noise was born with a clear mission: to empower songwriters with tools, resources, and inspiration. We partnered with the founders from the ground up, creating the name, voice, visual identity, and online ecosystem to support a growing community of creators. We establishing a cohesive presence across web and social media with custom site design, developed in the Webflow environment. We designed and launched The Chord Reserve, a series of retro-inspired, guitar chord posters created to be both practical and inspirational. The posters were housed in a Shopify-powered e-commerce experience tailored for musicians. As the brand evolved, so did its ambitions. We helped research, plan, concept, design, and develop Song, a mobile app created specifically for songwriters to capture ideas and write songs on the go. Our team developed wireframes and flows that prioritized simplicity and speed, allowing users to start capturing ideas instantly without friction. Visually, the interface was designed to feel creative while highlighting the tools that matter most in the moment of inspiration. Features like intuitive lyric organization, multi-format note-taking, and one-tap audio recording made Song a truly powerful companion that resonated with users, helping it reach #3 in the App Store’s music category. To support business growth, we developed a comprehensive pitch deck in 2020 detailing business goals, market factors, and projected value. While global events put the company’s trajectory on pause, Mutual Noise remains a passion project for its creators, and we look forward to working on their return when the time is right.
